Coastal Escapes & Wellness

Radisson Resort Pondicherry Bay

Contemporary tropical comfort on Pondicherry Bay.

The Vibe

Modern comfort meets tropical serenity at Radisson Resort Pondicherry Bay. Wide open spaces, contemporary architecture and landscaped gardens create an atmosphere that feels polished without becoming formal. Families settle happily around the pool, couples linger over long breakfasts and the pace naturally slows from the moment you arrive. It is a resort designed for travellers who want the reassurance of an international brand without losing sight of Pondicherry's coastal charm.

Why You'll Love It

The expansive swimming pool is the natural gathering place throughout the day, offering plenty of space to relax between sightseeing excursions. The resort's wellness facilities and generous landscaped grounds make it easy to alternate between exploring the city and simply enjoying the hotel itself.

Explore Nearby

Spend a morning discovering White Town before returning for an afternoon beside the pool. If time allows, continue north towards Auroville or Serenity Beach, where quieter stretches of coastline reveal a different side of Pondicherry far from the busiest tourist routes.

The East Coast Road heading north from Pondicherry is one of the most pleasant drives in South India — lined with casuarina trees, passing through small fishing hamlets where boats are drawn up on the sand and the catch is sorted on palm-leaf mats in the early morning shade. Serenity Beach arrives after thirty minutes: broader and quieter than the city Promenade, with a small surf scene and the kind of beach restaurant where the fish was in the ocean two hours before you ordered it.

Auroville is fifteen minutes from the resort, and arriving from this direction — through the community's own reforested land, considerably cooler than the surrounding plain — gives a better first impression of it than arriving from the city side. The Visitor Centre explains the project well, and the Matrimandir viewing area rewards the short walk through the forest.

Our Tip

Ask at reception about surf conditions at Serenity Beach before you go — the drive takes thirty minutes and if the waves are right it is the best sports experience in the Pondicherry area.
